I am convinced my baby is the most beautiful baby in the World!

(PRWEB) February 06, 2012

A new iPhone App aimed at boosting parents’ first line of defence, their sense of humour, has been launched today by Bookmarked Games. Called Parent Bingo, it helps parents mark – and maybe even celebrate – some of the most common, yet challenging events they’ll face in the early years.

Whether it’s a nuclear nappy, snot on the suit or realising just how much their life has been totally turned over, parents can share their experiences through Facebook and Twitter. The creators say this can really help to take the sting out of the toughest times.

It’s the first app from Bookmarked Games, a company that develops games aimed at bringing families together. Co-founders Oliver Roberts and Jeremiah Alexander say their main focus will be on games aimed at kids and family play, but Parent Bingo lets parents have fun too. After all, if you’ve got happy parents, chances are you’ll have happy kids.

“Mainly, this is just a bit of fun, but there’s a serious side too,” says Oliver. “Using Parent Bingo to show off on Facebook and Twitter that you’ve just won points because you’re covered in your baby’s vomit won’t clean up the mess… but it might just help you cope with it. In fact, it could help a lot.

“As any parent will tell you – it’s not just about what happens, it’s your mood when you’re faced with it. Keeping your sense of humour can make all the difference.”

The first release of Parent Bingo focuses on babies, but it will go on to cover other stages, such as toddlers, pre-school and starting school.

Jeremiah says “Parent Bingo takes the concept of ‘gamification’ and uses it to have fun with things that parents can often find very difficult. Most of what I’ve done till now has centred around using games for education, so this has been a really interesting and very different way to use gaming.

“Games really do have the potential to improve our lives. While this App is aimed at parents rather than kids, for us at Bookmarked Games it’s all about trying to create games that can enhance family life. Sure it’s just a small contribution, but anything helps.”

Jeremiah is an award-winning games designer and digital entrepreneur and Oliver is a father of two, a public policy strategist and author of The Partner-Parent Principle.

Despite their different backgrounds, they developed Bookmarked Games because of their shared aim: to make full use of gaming’s potential to strengthen family ties. Games have been a central part of family lives for thousands of years, but while some of that may have been lost in recent decades, Jeremiah and Oliver believe that newer technologies and games platforms have the potential to not only restore those connections but to greatly enhance them.

The App is available to download now from the App Store (http://bit.ly/iTunesParentBingo)

Parents can also share their own interesting baby stories on Twitter using the hashtag #ParentBingo or through the Facebook Page (http://www.facebook.com/ParentBingo), with some of the best potentially being featured in the next update.

BERLIN, Germany (PRWEB) February 06, 2012

SponsorPay, the leading international platform for mobile app monetization and distribution, has helped top developer Creative Mobile achieve two times the revenue of in-app purchases. In addition, the company has announced partnerships with leading developers Out Fit 7 Ltd, HandyGames, Apostek and Yuilop.

“Offers make us 1.5-2x more revenues than in-app purchases,” remarked Vladimir Funtikov, CEO and founder of Creative Mobile, a leading developer on Android and maker of super-hit Drag Racing, one of the 10 most downloaded Android apps of all time. “SponsorPay’s powerful mobile product has sparked significant revenue growth for us in the US and also opened up new markets in Europe and Asia.”

Although the Android platform has surpassed iOS in market share, its developers have not seen that translate into revenues. According to investment bank Piper Jaffray, Android has generated just $ 330 million in gross revenue from paid apps compared to $ 4.9 billion from iOS. This has pushed Android developers to embrace new monetization strategies and a recent study by analytics firm Distimo revealed that 68% of the 25 highest grossing Android applications use in-app purchases.

SponsorPay’s mobile platform has been instrumental in helping such developers see higher profits. The company’s comprehensive ad inventory includes app install and engagement campaigns, video ads as well as exclusive mobile cost-per-action (mCPA) offers based on the company’s proprietary mCPA solution. This equips SponsorPay with exclusive offer inventory unavailable to other players in the market. “I’m excited about our partnerships with these leading developers – helping them and others to boost profits and reduce user acquisition costs,” said Janis Zech, CRO and co-founder of SponsorPay.

“SponsorPay more than deliver on all their promises – they’re one of our best partners,” said Rok Zorko, co-founder of Out Fit 7 Ltd, one of the world’s largest mobile developers and creators of the Talking Friends series of apps, including the smash hit Talking Tom Cat, that have seen more than 300 million downloads.

“We are careful about only offering relevant advertising to our users. SponsorPay gives us the opportunity to do so through their diverse and highly targeted mobile offerings,” noted Markus Kassulke, CEO and co-founder of HandyGames, maker of popular titles Super Dynamite Fishing, Guns ‘n’ Glory and Clouds & Sheep.

“Sponsorpay’s dynamic and result oriented approach to monetization makes them an absolute delight to work with!” added Dheeraj Sood, Director of Mobile Products at Apostek, the leading Indian developer behind Slot Machine and Pocket Bingo.

SponsorPay’s large network of premium developers enables the company to ensure value to distribution partners. In addition, the company’s innovative engagement products guarantee long-term results for clients. “SponsorPay’s rewarded install model boosts revenues from non-paying users and enhances app engagement,” agreed Jochen Doppelhammer, CEO of yuilop, a popular app that enables smartphone users to communicate free of charge with 100% their contacts independent of wireless carriers and if their contacts use the app or not.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 16, 2012

The Casino Hotels industry began its recovery in 2010 and 2011, after a disastrous 2008 and 2009 when revenue declined 8.7% and 8.4%, respectively, as the economy tanked and people spent less money on gambling. Over the five years to 2012, IBISWorld estimates that revenue will grow at an average annual rate of 0.4%. The industry is driven by a number of factors, including the state of the economy and travel trends. In 2009, the decline of the domestic economy and the increasing unemployment rate forced people to become more selective when spending disposable income. As people cut down on spending across the board, they were less likely to spend money on nonessential activities like gambling, according to IBISWorld industry analyst Nima Samadi. With the economy improving over the course of 2010 and 2011, consumer spending increasing (growing 2.0% in 2010 and 2.3% in 2011) and fears about the economy subsiding, consumers visited casinos more often. This trend is expected to continue in 2012, with consumer spending forecast to grow 2.0%. Declining domestic travel and international arrivals into the United States have also affected the industry. Both fell in 2009, but have grown some since and are expected to grow more in 2012, further fueling demand for hotel casinos.

The economic downturn also resulted in consolidation in the Casino Hotels industry. A number of major mergers have occurred over the last five years: Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. merged with Caesars Entertainment Corporation while MGM Resorts International merged with Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The domestic industry has also faced significant competition from international casinos, Samadi notes. In 2007, Macau, China, overtook Las Vegas as the world’s largest casino gambling region. Despite the recent decline in revenue, the industry has experienced some positive developments over the five years to 2012 with gambling becoming a more accepted part of the US culture.

This industry has a low to medium level of concentration. The mergers of Caesars with Harrah’s and MGM with Mandalay Bay secured these operators as dominant players in this industry. Las Vegas Sands Corporation is the third major player in this industry. While the level of industry concentration has increased significantly to 2007, it is now expected to not increase any further due to regulatory constraints relating specifically to this industry by state governments and to overall industry competition levels monitored by agencies of the federal government. Given the nature and operations of this industry, it is not surprising that it mainly comprises large employers. The level of industry concentration increased significantly since 2007 due to consolidation, but it is not expected to significantly rise again over the next five years.
(PRWeb UK) April 12, 2011

More than 600 people in later life in Southend-on-Sea, Essex will continue to benefit from the invaluable Age UK HandyVan service, thanks to a £30,000 donation from one of the UK’s leading casino operators; London Clubs International (LCI). The Mayor of Southend-on-Sea, Councillor Ann Holland today launched the Age UK HandyVan with representatives from Age UK, LCI, The Rendezvous Casino at the Kursaal and Age Concern Southend-on-Sea. The donation will allow the local HandyVan to help older people with safety, security, repairs and adaptations in the home for the next year.

The Rendezvous Casino at the Kursaal, LCI’s Southend-on-Sea based casino has made the donation to Age UK to help towards the cost of providing the vital HandyVan service where a handyperson visits homes to undertake works including fitting free carbon monoxide detectors, grab rails, door and window locks and smoke alarms.

The Mayor of Southend-on-Sea, Councillor Ann Holland commented: “I am delighted to launch and support this worthwhile scheme as making their homes secure will be a great reassurance to our older residents.”

National HandyVan Manager, Lisa Waite at Age UK, said: “The funding from London Clubs International has enabled us to continue offering this crucial service to people in later life in Southend-on-Sea. The contribution from the Rendezvous Casino will go a long way towards enabling Age UK to help people in later life to live independently in their own home for as long as possible. We have worked with Age Concern Southend-on-Sea and Age UK Essex to identify and meet the needs of older people in the area.”

Charmian Gunnis, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at LCI said: “Over the last four years LCI has donated £240,000 through the company’s five year commitment to Age UK. Previous donations have helped people in later life on behalf of LCI casinos in Leeds, Nottingham, Glasgow, Manchester, and most recently in Southend. LCI venues also donate unclaimed lost property directly to Age UK.

“It is very important to us to be socially aware and we enjoy working closely with local communities on a nationwide basis. All staff are openly encouraged to get involved in charity fundraising on their own initiative and London Clubs International takes great pleasure in supporting this. Staff are also encouraged to volunteer in company time – up to eight hours a week per casino.

“LCI has 10 UK based casinos, offering gaming to all levels of play as well as a full entertainment package, including on-site restaurants, bars and events space within each venue.”

The Age UK HandyVan service has been serving people in later life since 1991 and has helped thousands across the UK. Age UK has a fleet of 26 vans operating throughout the country offering services to people aged 60 or over who have assets of less than £20,000 (not including their home).

Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) April 20, 2011

Richard Pett Consulting Inc, an Ontario based executive coaching and consulting firm, has identified an increasing number of senior executives with tenure of 15 years or more expressing a desire to leave the corporate world and move on to another phase in their lives. The problem is that they are reluctant to resign, as they believe that they will be giving up the possibility of a substantial severance package. There is also a reluctance by their employers to pay the cost of the severance, which in many cases can be a substantial sum. This has become more of an issue to companies since the recent economic downturn.

“Discussions about career and succession planning happen routinely, but exit conversations have become a taboo subject, with the result that nobody wins. The employee wants to move on, the company would like to see some new dynamic leadership in place, and both parties are waiting to see who will blink first”, said Richard Pett, President of RPC . “When a senior leader becomes disengaged the potential impact on the organization is significant”.

The answer may be to introduce a third party to broker the conversation and act as a facilitator with the goal of achieving a solution that works for everyone. Compromise is needed, and may include some kind of modified work contract. These are difficult and sensitive conversations to have, but are crucial for companies who want to stay competitive and grow their business in the fast paced environment that we all work in today.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) July 31, 2011

Although the World Series of Poker (WSOP) is now over, fortunately the excitement hasn’t stopped. This past Sunday at Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club, in Las Vegas, Nevada, another type of poker game was taking place. This time there were more than just chips involved.

Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club, the World’s Largest Gentlemen’s Club hosted the first Las Vegas Strip Poker Series. Sapphire’s beautiful entertainers were the feature of the inaugural poker event with major professional poker players attending. Sapphire, which has over 8,000 entertainers, selected some of the most exotic poker-playing beauties to participate in this new poker event.

The inaugural Las Vegas Strip Poker Series took place, Hosted by Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club Las Vegas and co-sponsored by Pokeraga.com, The Nevada Poker League, and North Forty Saloon Dance Hall and BBQ, the game featured some of the biggest names in poker. Todd Brunson, Gavin Smith and Jeff Madsen were joined by Dany Georges, Bobo Borzomai, and Mark Hernandez who all sat down to play a game of Texas Hold’em with each player paired with a beautiful entertainer who would lose an article of clothing when their player lost a hand.

A good time was had by all, but in the end it came down to Todd Brunson and Dany Georges. The two players went head up until Dany Georges came from behind to win the first ever tournament in The Las Vegas Strip Poker Series.

Marc Anthony Productions produces the series and the game will be shown on the “Vegas Banter Show with Mark Hernandez” on Fridays beginning August 5th on TLVS1.com. When asked about future episodes of the series Marc said, “We are so excited about how the first game went, the players and entertainers all had such a great time, and we are really looking forward to future games. Thanks to our sponsor Pokeraga.com, The Nevada Poker League, North Forty BBQ, and especially Sapphire for hosting the event.” Shai Cohen, Director of Marketing at Sapphire Las Vegas said, “Although I attended the WSOP events this was a lot more fun!”

Madison, Wisconsin (PRWEB) February 15, 2012

Level 5 Motorsports development driver Mason Daughters is getting quite an education in the karting ranks. With support from Scott Tucker and the Level 5 team, Daughters is enjoying a successful start to the 2012 season.

Tucker, a five-time national driving champion and native of Leawood, Kansas, initiated the development project to provide assistance to young racers.

Daughters, a 14-year-old from Polo, Missouri, continued his 2012 campaign at the prestigious Gatorz Challenge of the Americas at the Musselman Honda Circuit in Tucson, Arizona where he faced some of the best karting teams in the country. Daughters finished 15th and 19th, respectively, in a pair of Senior Rotax division finals races.

“This is the only way I’m going to learn and get better, driving against the toughest competition,” Daughters said. “These are pretty prestigious events, and I’m honored to be participating. But, that doesn’t mean I’m not here to win. We’ll keep getting better and our time will come. I’ve just got to be patient and keep going at it.”

The Gatorz Challenge of the Americas is a three-round, six-event West Coast competition that is part of the path to qualifying for the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals. The next round is February 24-26 in Phoenix.

Daughters qualified 23rd on both Saturday and Sunday and made steady progress throughout the events. Team owner Phil Giebler, the 2007 Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year, was pleased with Daughters’ performance against a field of mostly older drivers.

“Mason had and up-and-down weekend,” Giebler said. “He has been dropped into the deep end of the pool this year with the most competitive classes in the country, the Senior division. Its deep talent pool is going to push him all year. The Rotax Senior class was by far the most competitive class of the weekend.

“Mason had to start in the middle of the 33-kart fields, and that’s where you always have incidents. He got tangled up with another competitor after moving up to 15th in the Saturday pre-final and finished 30th. He came back strong in the 25-lap final to finish 15th. Sunday was also difficult, but in the final he got a great start to move up to 11th in the first three laps after starting 22nd. There was a very late attempt to pass him and the driver made contact and gave Mason a flat rear tire. He still managed to continue and finished 19th. Mason showed great determination in dealing with the tire problems.”

Daughters opened the season the previous weekend in Palm Beach, Florida, at the Florida Winter Tour’s Rotax Max Challenge. He finished 31st and 19th in two races at Palm Beach International Raceway after making his debut in the Senior division.

With the help of Tucker and his Level 5 Motorsports driver development initiative, Daughters completed a solid 2011 season in the go-kart ranks by finishing 17th among 60 competitors in the TaG Junior main event at the prestigious 14th annual Superkarts USA Super Nationals in Las Vegas. Held on the temporary circuit in the parking lot of the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, it is the largest karting event in the world.

“Mason continues to impress and to develop his skills as a driver,” said Tucker, a five-time national driving champion. “We obviously like what we’ve seen from him, and he’s getting great coaching from Phil. “We’re certainly looking for big things out of Mason in 2012. It will be fun to watch him.”

Daughters is one of five youth racers that have been sponsored by Level 5 Motorsports, including his younger brother, Garrett. Mason Daughters scored the Liberty Cup championship in the TaG Jr. class of the Kansas City Karting Association in 2011 at at his home track in Liberty, Missouri, winning all four of his events in one weekend. He holds the all-time track record for the fastest lap at that facility.

He also came within 100 points of winning the Heartland Sprint Series championship in Kansas City in his rookie season.

About Level 5 Motorsports

Level 5 Motorsports has fielded successful entries in GT and Prototype classes in the American Le Mans Series, GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series, Ferrari Challenge Series and the Sports Car Club of America since 2008.
Chicago (PRWEB) February 22, 2011

Keno Kozie, a leading provider of information technology design, service and support to law firms and legal departments, today announces that the company achieved record performance numbers during the blizzard of 2011 earlier this month.

Despite being in the heart of the storm, the company was able to provide a superior level of service and support to its clients when more than 1500 miles of the country – from Oklahoma to New York – was hit with a major storm.

“Outsourcing help desk services and a firm’s IT infrastructure can prove to have significant value beyond the financial savings,” stated Barry Keno, president of Keno Kozie. “Providing a source of support, information and assistance during an emergency can be of critical importance to a law firm, allowing its professionals to remain productive whether trapped in snow or stranded at an airport.” Keno Kozie’s support and infrastructure services have been designed to offer superior service regardless of the conditions “on the ground.” With distributed infrastructure, mobility solutions and experienced management, the Keno Kozie team remained fully functional, providing essential support to firms across the country during their time of need.

“We knew the storm was coming for several days and that many of our clients would be affected. By anticipating this need and understanding the potential impact on our clients’ end users, we were able to bring additional resources on-line to address the potential need for support. Our metrics for telephone answer time, abandoned calls and FCR are always outstanding; during the storm, we exceeded our standard goals. I’m very proud of our management and support teams,” concluded Keno.

Keno Kozie provides IT consulting, system integration, 24X7 help desk support, training, and managed services to law firms across the United States. With more than 20 years of experience, hundreds of law firms have entrusted their reputation and business to Keno Kozie’s team of experienced IT specialists.

London (PRWEB) January 21, 2011

The online gambling industry has reached its full stature – as have its long-standing business drivers: betting, poker, and casino games. Therefore, many operators are now looking for new revenue streams. After years of focusing on heavy gamblers, the industry is now concentrating on casual players and turns a hopeful gaze on social networks, online lotteries, bingo, and others. Because of the growing need for in-depth information about these segments, the consulting firm MECN has now published its new second edition of the report “Casual Gaming and Gambling on the Internet”.

Online casual gaming and gambling have been around for some time but have generally kept a low profile. Now this is about to change, and the industry is increasingly looking at the casual sectors as new growth areas:

Recent heavy investments by PartyGaming, 888, Playtech, … in the online bingo industry indicate the casual segment’s growing importance.
Social gaming offers, such as Zynga Poker, are currently dominating the strategic discussions in the online gambling industry.
Casual players are the primary revenue-generating segment in liberalised markets such as France and Italy.
Fantasy sports and skill gaming are more and more used as strategic entryways into markets with legal restrictions (e.g., U.S.).
Online lotto/numbers games have moved into the spotlight as remaining “untouched” sectors; they are estimated to be worth USD 5.5 billion in gross revenues by 2015.

85% of gambling operators plan to increase their efforts in social networks

The success of social gaming/poker came more or less over night and took traditional online gambling operators by surprise. As 888′s CEO Gigi Levy put it: “The industry had a blind spot”. For example, Zynga Poker has now more than 36 million active users per month and has between 200,000 and 400,000 online players at any time – much more than leading poker rooms.

However, the online gambling industry is striking back and is launching its own social gambling offers. The rapidity and determination with which this is happening comes as a bit of a surprise: 85% of all operators surveyed expressed their intention to increase their efforts in social networks/gaming in the next 2-3 years.

Gross revenues of online numbers games estimated to grow to USD 5.5 billion by 2015

So far, the online lotto/numbers games sector has been playing only a minor role in the public discussion – wrongly so, in our opinion. The online lotto/numbers game market is still dominated by state operators, but this could change very soon, as co-author Martin Oelbermann explains: “Large private operators will soon discover online lotto and numbers games. What started in 2009 with hefty investments in bingo will spread to lotto and numbers games – maybe already in 2011″.

Gross revenues in the numbers game (retail and Internet) market come to around USD 100 billion, and the segment is still largely dominated by retail-focused state lotteries. Yet, the Internet will inexorably advance and shape this sector too. According to MECN’s estimates, total sales of Internet lotto/numbers games (lotto, keno, scratch/instant) amounted to around USD 1.9 billion in 2010 and will grow to USD 5.5 billion by 2015.

Clearly, the race is on to seize the USD 5.5 billion jackpot. Will state lotteries dominate the field, or can off-shore operators repeat the success that made them dominant the online sports betting market? How quickly private operators enter the lotto/numbers market will likely depend on how fast the traditional sectors lose their growth potential. Martin Oelbermann adds, “The race to win over casual gamblers is surely on, and lotto/numbers games will play a vital role in this race. Therefore, state lotteries and NGO operators should start getting ready if they do not want to lose their last stronghold”.

MECN’s new report: Casual Gaming and Gambling on the Internet – 2nd edition
